U Los Angelesu će 27. veljače biti dodijeljeni Oscari za najbolje u filmskoj industriji prošle godine, a ako je suditi po nominacijama, najveće izglede za zlatne kipiće imaju akteri filmova Kraljev govor, True grid, Početak i Društvena mreža.

Kraljev govor je dobio čak 12 niminacija, između ostalog za najbolji film, najboljeg redatelja (Tom Hooper), glumca (Colin Firth), sporednog glumca (Geoffrey Rush) i sporednu glumicu (Helena Bonham Carter).
